Our policy for increased environmental awareness

The pursuit of a natural environmentally conscious choice among our employees and partners is important to us. Below are some of the environmental choices we face every day:

  • Our employees should receive regular training. Employees must continually work, with responsibility and authority, to reduce our environmental impact and prevent pollution.
  • By communicating our environmental policy to employees as well as customers and suppliers, the environment will be a natural part of our thinking when choosing partners.
  • Together with our customers, we work to find optimal and effective packaging solutions, where we focus on minimising our environmental impact.
  • We recycle and sort all our own waste within the business.
  • We will constantly work to reduce the company's energy consumption.
  • SafeSack and our subcontractors must comply with applicable national environmental legislation, with a focus on outperforming requirements.
  • Our aim is to use as much recycled material as possible.

Environmental Facts:

Polypropylene is neutral to groundwater when deposited in landfill and burns without generating toxic gases.

In case of combustion, e.g. in municipal heating plants, only carbon dioxide and water result, while the energy value of 1 kg of polypropylene plastic is higher than 1 litre of heating oil.

Recycling:

Polypropylene is recyclable. There are well-developed recycling systems for polypropylene products throughout Europe, and there is a large market for recycled polypropylene.
